New Yildun Prime - Police trailed a suspected bank robber across eight star systems before finally arresting him without serious incident in the New Yildun system.

"Two people were killed, and three others seriously injured, at the First Bank of Ailando," says Cst. William Stroker of the Luxian Police Patrol.  "Twelve more died at the capture scene, seven others are in critical condition in New Yildun General Hospital, and one man, who had been run over by the suspect's [Galactic Motors Corporation] AstroShuttle, has reported decreased back pain and lower cholesterol and has subsequently cancelled his next chiropractors appointment.  There was also an estimated 30 billion credits in property damage."

"However," continues Stroker, "None of the people or property that were harmed are associated in any way with the LPP.  We like to think of that as the real success story here."

Though the suspect did manage to lose his pursuers several times, thanks to what police have described as "extremely erratic and dangerous flying techniques", he was eventually apprehended at a somewhat surprising location - The Chase Menkalinan Bank on New Yildun Prime.

"He had just made a rather large deposit when the police started flooding into the lobby," says Chase Menkalinan president John Rocketfeller.  "I should have known it was suspicious when he handed over some burlap sacks, but credits are credits."

"It's not like this was the first time I've accepted bags of money without question," added Rocketfeller.

Unfortunately for the police investigation, and for the First Bank of Ailando, they money was deposited into a secure Centurion account, and is all but untouchable.

The suspect, Andre de Montbard, is a suspected member of the notorious and ancient organized crime syndicate known as the Knights Templar, and it's believed that the Centurion bank account belongs to this organization.  He has been charged with 836 accounts of reckless flying, 10 accounts of reckless flying causing bodily harm, 14 accounts of reckless flying causing death, 890 accounts of fleeing the scene of a crime, 1 account of resisting arrest, and 1 account of practicing chiropractic without a license, and he faces a maximum possible sentence of 36,000 minutes in jail and 240 minutes of community service.
